Warren County is located in southeastern part of New York state. It is part of the Glens Falls, New York Metropolitan Statistical Area. The eastern boundary of Warren County is Lake George, slightly west of the New York-Vermont border. Warren County has a total area of approximately 932 square miles of which 93% is land and 7% water. As of the census of 2000, there were 63,303 people, 25,726 households, and 17,056 families residing in Warren County, New York. Out of New York's 58 counties, it ranks as 36th most populous.
